I've learned never to be insubordinate. Pay backs are not worth being 'proven' right. BUT....it's so late in the school year maybe it won't come back to bite him??

A complaint for what? You would be upset over the department head not supporting your incorrect answer and lack of thinking skills?

Besides, it is private school.

I have to admit I can't help but wonder if that question wasn't just a "fun" question to make kids think a bit. end of year kidding around ha ha I got you kind of thing, and now it's been blown into this proportion.

I don't remember seeing you state what grade your son is in, if elem I would certainly think it was posed as a humorous question.

Who wants to be at a bar after three drinks, sitting next to a guy who tells you he’s on THT and then tells you, “Oh, my handle is Jersus”?

True, but it would be a bottle and I might be inclined to smack him with it. Us Scots don't put up with high falutin' bs. Nor do us Marines.

Yeah, that thread, like this one soon, is gone. Poof.

And rightly so, but I’m having fun while it’s here ‘cause it Monday and I’m bored

Just out of curiosity, did you tell the department head that you told the teacher she was too dumb or whatever you said to her? Serious question

Never talked to her. My son himself appealed the grade.

What bearing would that have anyways? Either his answer was correct or not. Clearly she saw his answer and justification as correct.

This story fails the sniff test on every conceivable level. It's a freaking fairy tail. I'm out

Man, you can kid yourself til the day is long about all of this stuff Jersus, but a very large quorum of your fellow brotherhood boaters are telling you that while you "may" be right, and your son "may" be right, in the long run, it's really not gonna pan out like that. Somewhere through life, you'll get to answer for your actions.

When you say to yourself, "Man, that guy was an a-hole to me", maybe it was you. When you question why you waited 20 minutes at a bar for a drink, yeah... it was you. And I wouldn't be surprised if they spit in it. I don't condone that...

...but I'm nice and don't have that worry.

edit: And because I'm NOT that Ivy League prick, I'd still consider giving you a tow if you needed it.

Anyone else tired of hearing about this disrespectful ass kid, who can't answer a simple question right and a dad who's so proud that his 8th grade son is a "out of the box thinker"

Just out of curiosity, how much do you pay to send your son to the private school?

Second queation. Does this private school have a wait list or are there open spots for new students?

Finally, private schools are a business. Their job it to make there customers happy. If the grade was not changed would you be happy with your purchase of your child’s education?
Would you have considered moving schools?

This is the problem with private schools.

Assuming this is a school you pay for your son to go to, have you made any extra contributions? Could that have made a difference in the department heads’ decision?

Yeah. I sure wish ThT would make it so I had a choice about which threads to look at.
