Chicago should pass a law outlawing murder by guns.

Not that felons don't have rights, but I wonder how many of the victims have violent felonies on their record. Life, you typically reap what you sow.

Right out of the gate, your facts are bad. Not sure how you define "toughest" but Illinois doesn't have either the toughest or strongest:

Illinois is bordered by Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Iowa, and Wisconsin. My geography sucks, so I checked the map to make sure I have the states right. Can you tell me how their gun control laws are? Since I know you won't look it up, they get a D-, F, F, C, and a C-.
https://lawcenter.giffords.org/scorecard/#rankings

And can you remind me, can criminals still drive? So maybe, just maybe, the bad guys got in a car and drove somewhere else to buy the guns?

I thought you were LEO and your job was to protect and serve. Celebrating the death of 8 people to make a political point is amazing. Glad to have you wearing the blue.

most likely alot of truth to this, however trying to make stricter gun laws still wont take the guns out of the hands of the bad guys!

You are obviously a mastermind. ..It is the laws in the cities like Chicago and New York that have that strongest gun restrictions NOT THE STATE ITSELF..You are trying to use the wrong data buddy

I gotta say I love your twist of "facts" to further a false narrative.

52 people shot, 8 dead and 2 stabbed in 2 days for 1 city and not an entire state, contradicts your info! not to mention, where did your web sights get there info to make the "score cards" and what is the accuracy of their information?

Mattgoose- here is something for you to chew on - SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. IT'S IN THE CONSTITUTION.
ILLEGAL FIREARMS RESTRICTIONS ONLY DO ONE THING- TAKES THE CAPABILITY OF SELF DEFENSE OUT OF THE HANDS OF LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AND MAKES THEM VICTIMS.

The problem does not lie in the gun- but in the actions of criminals that the liberal system continues to loose upon society, again and again.

Don’t forget the Giffords organization where his “facts” were quoted from is a California based anti gun law firm.

It states gun deaths. Not murders so suicide and police shootings most likely are included in those numbers and I bet any other info harming their cause will be omitted.

Washibgton DC Chicago Detroit Baltimore have some of the strictest gun laws.

Criminals can drive but they can't just drive somewhere else and buy a gun. All out of state handgun purchases must be done through a FFL dealer in the state you reside. Long gun purchases can be made if you live in a contiguous state, but those purchases must conform to the state laws of both the dealer and the buyer. The argument you are floating is the usual misinformed and/or false "gun-control" crowd rhetoric......like the non-existent gun show loophole.
Unless they are breaking the law but then they don't have to drive a state away to do that.

And here we have it folks: the leftist finally figures out that guns aren't the problem; FELONS are the problem. Now that you've identified the disease goose; now maybe you'll seek treatment for the TDS that continues to pollute the rest of the stink'n think'n.

exactly! copy and pasting a website is one thing, reading it, knowing what it is saying and gauging how accurate it is a whole different ball game!
