This guy does. 2 foot-itis strikes even the best of us.

There is no late with me. It's just on time or I'll come back around and get you when I get a chance.

Sinkers slamming the outside of the boat. Tangles, catching bottom every drift and not listening. Spilling red wine on the boat. Not bringing proper clothing and being cold on the blast out.

Been so long since I had a non boater on-board I can't remember. Now idiot "fishermen", that's a whole new thread.

The only thing that annoys me is trying to help untie the boat before departure and moving around while trying to dock. No matter how much I say sit and stay like a damn dog command, they still move ! Unless I ask for help in a sticky or very windy situation, please stay seated until the ride come to a complete stop.

we all have our routines, and I hate them being inturupted

I hate when non-boaters own a boat. Lots of them at the lake I frequent.

Hey, chicken tenders are good hand food for the boat. Great, breading and oil on the wet deck...awesome.

Lying about your boating and fishing experience. People are always nagging me to take them out. Most folks never get a 2nd invitation.

Haha...thats one of our go to boat lunches. But I don't really mind crap getting on the deck. It all goes straight out the scuppers.

In general it annoys me taking non boaters out. They always try to help which I appreciate but it tends to cause undue stress. I much prefer to get there early, do everything myself, and pick them up at the dock.

We are pretty selfish about taking people out on our boat actually...much prefer just us.

People that can not sit still for 20 seconds, you just trim to perfection, and then they think they will see more on the other side.

I'm amazed some of you people let another human being board your boat.

Hah, spent a weekend on a Hatteras a couple months ago. Owner wasn't happy when his buddy got crumbs all over the carpet cover.... little specks of grease all over the salon. At least he had a removable cover; and it didn't stain the carpet itself.

Standing up in front of the center console when I'm underway. Especially when I'm approaching the Inlet.

Getting up and walking around right wnen I am about to exit the no wake zone.

These I would put down as a boating fopar

running to the opposite side of the boat when a wave hits one side while underway.

Normally I don't.....

If you're late, you're left standing....
Bring glass of any sort and it will be in your car when you get back, thirsty..... drink it at the car while you munch on your Cheeto's
Wear marking shoes and you'll be barefoot all day......
If I tell you once to please sit down and you get up again Capt. Ahab is going to come out.....
Bring spray sunscreen and your ass will be sunburned before the day is over....

True story, had a couple of guys on the boat and one kept asking me to change spots so he could have a better cell phone signal, care to guess what I told him???
My dog (Lucy) is better behaved on a boat than most people I know, that's why she's my first pick to go out.....

Oh yeah, this reminded me of people who never get an invite. Guess that's another thread too.

Well just some peeves that I have after reading this thread.
  • Moving around to catch the dock while I am docking... My idea of docking is a gentle bump into the pilings. Running to that side of the boat and sticking your arms out doesn't help me at all.
  • Everyone goes to the bow and sits on one side.. Tends to be a female thing but damn it takes a lot of tab to correct this and forget it if they move.

On a serious note:

There's very very very few things that non-boaters do that annoy me.

Only 2 things really:

1) Not listening to me regarding seasickness medication. I just hate seeing people go through misery when they come fishing. I love showing people the ocean, ocean life, etc. 2 bonine the night before and 1 right when you get to the boat. No one ever does it and they get sick.
2) Not asking me how to use the head before using it. They constantly stomp the flush pedal and break the switch.

I would guess you have zero friends.
