Default Anyone mowing their lawn today?

I was going to fire up the tractor and hit my lawn but it is eerily quiet. I dont like being the guy to first break the silence.

So there's no secret moratorium on leaf blowers and lawn mowers today?

All I hear are the birds yakking like crazy, not even the sound of an electric blower can be heard.

I suspect that's part of it, most probably did it Friday and Saturday and the rest are outta town. I did it Wednesday but it's been growing like mad.

Yup, did it Monday also. We had rain 9 of the 12 preceding days so itís growing like crazy with a little sun and warmth.

Mowed Friday but just finished laying feed. Rain started about 2 minutes after I finished too. Should get wetted in nicely. Need to get that blue back into my bluegrass.

Just went out to do the in-laws here at the lake. Too hot. Going to drink beer and throw a tennis ball for the dog into the water instead. Donít think anybody would notice the mower noise over all the boats anyway.

Mowed mine Thursday but Iím gonna crank it up just to make some noise tomorrow about lunch time. Wave at all the people having picnics. Might even start up a burn pile, been saving all the debris for one big burn.

No, and I hope mine is finally dead with the drought we are having when I get back.

I don't mow on weekends or holidays.

I hate mowing anymore. Well...I enjoy the process once I get the mower fired up, but it's fallen so far down the priority list it's become just a chore.

Mowed and blowed this morning, starting around 11:00. It's hot as balls..
My neighbor was mowing last night after dark, so if he gets upset, tough shit.

Way too fíing dry to mow mine. It hasnít been this dry for this long in several years here. I donít want to run my irrigation a bunch, but Iíll run it just enough to keep it from dying. Trying to keep the grass as high as I can to keep the ground shaded somewhat.
