Staying off the water. Worked on some sprinklers so my weeds don't die. Took a ride down to the marina and there was no place to park. The park ramp next to the Marina was full to capacity and the mouth of the River looked like US 19 during rush hour. Parked the truck quick next to the fuel tanks at the marina and told them I was snagging some paperwork off the boat and leaving, "they said that was fine for a few minutes"

Went to grab my slip hose to wash my shoes off and some SOB has stolen my 75 foot white potable water hose and nozzle. It was there Friday and them hoses ain't cheap.

Sitting here now making a list of parts for the sprinklers. Weekends on the water around here have gotten bad. This weekend they have 3 days to lose their minds.

I spent yesterday (my 47th birthday) finishing the install of a tankless water heater and washer box in the little beach calendar. Everything went as planned, so no major complaints there.

Supposed to go go boating on the Willamette/Columbia Rivers with friends, but the weather forecast looks to be wrong. May just go out to dinner...

To the OP, hope the boat floated and the wife didn’t break anything!

wifes foot is better. Just a little sore. Did not break anything

boat floated off trailer easy at high tide just after dinner. She is sitting happily on the lift. I need a full day to clean properly.

Trailer is is still under water. Will have a day of fresh water flushing and the lubing Think it will be easiest to pull trailer out w tow strap at low tide. Like 3pm

We deliberately stayed off the water today and went on a short bike ride instead. Thinking about driving down to the punta rassa public boat ramp for a little entertainment later this afternoon

I started installing my new radar (courtesy of the overtons 40% deal). Figured it would be a 1 day project. I'm now most of the way through day 2 and I have more torn apart than I did at the end of day 1!

Having an adult beverage watching the sun set at Odens Dock. Going fishing as soon as the ocean calms down a bit.

Had mechanic launch and commission boat on Thursday so I could make the 65 mile run home on Friday, in the slop by myself. Having a great time. (wish I knew how to post a video, cause I cant make it work Get 10 miles from mooring and start having engine fuel problems, swap out racon and 2 john deere filters on engine. Bleed fuel (mean while get my ass tossed around pretty good.) Get her fired up but can get over 2000 rpms and losing power as I push throttle forward. Fuel pressure dropping, So really slow me down and adds all most a hour more to reach home. Call mechanic, ethier lift pump or injection pump is failing. $4000 in parts and the season hasn't started yet lol

Hope your day today went better. It was windy as hell yesterday so probably better off. Tonight was nice out on the water. This is the most tourists I have seen on the NNK for a long time. Hopefully it will lead to an uptick in the housing market. Funny to watch the giddy tourists at the stores interacting with the locals!

Well, you’re in luck. This is one of the best weekends to sit safely on shore and watch all of the idiots.

Yep, grab a lawn chair, cooler of beverages and head for the docks for a hilariously sad day of watching the village idiots while recording them.

We want a link from anybody who does this, share the laughs.
You can't drag me to the docks on weekends or holidays, I just don't have the patience any longer to deal with the "Special" people at the docks.

The ramp was quite comical this wkend. A few rookies prepping on the ramp, one with no plug in his boat, 2 in a shouting match on the lot, a throttle jockey almost t-boned the fuel dock....yep summer is here

R&B. You wouldn’t happen to still be at the river would ya? Our boat broke down at the tavern yesterday and trying to find a tow to Coles point marina to yank it out. Chris

Lisa is great. It’s funny how her memory was affected. Even after coming here for years, I will mention say “the tavern” and she will Say: where is that again?
She also had a close call in the shower. Slipped and sort fell, I was rescuing the sunk trailer and she showered w out me. Didn’t hit head thank the good lord. Brain injury fun
add grippy strips to the list.

had a load of daughters friends down yesterday and went to shark tooth. Can’t post pics from phone some reason but will back at office- but you can tell the economy is good. Must have been 300 boats there.

Have a cat now so wind and chop is non factor
we can always find a lee from the wind in our creek somewhere to ski or tube.

Oh and I legit broke my toe. Was digging around in garage for bottom rigs and a pipe rolled off shelf and hit my second and third toe. Black and blue and now I’m walking w a limp. Will spare you the pics on that

i am embarrassing way behind on fishing. Hope everyone else is doing well!!

Good to hear she is doing good. I was wondering how her recovery was going. She is real lucky. Out of all the things to forget, the Tavern is well worth forgetting! My Dad had a brain tumor when I was younger and he suffered from the same memory lapses. Its weird how your mind stores information. I also haven't gotten much fishing done. Went out the last couple days but not finding them in the Yeo like I normally do. Probably because I haven't been out enough. Went to the Coan yesterday but should have ran up your way to a few spots that normally hold them. I was just too lazy to make the run.

I will be moving across route 3 from you in June. Trying to get my home here fixed up to put on the market which is going too slow. An uptick in the market sure would be helpful though! Once I get up there we should grab a beer when you have time. We find ourselves at the Red Dragon a lot.

Looks like 'ya'll (you & bottomfeeder28) got "hooked up" - LITERALLY! GOOD ON YOU for towing him - especially after your weekend started off so screwed up! Good karma will come around to you VERY soon for all that you do/did/done!

Glad to hear Lisa is doing well - quite the shock back a few months ago, but DAM, she has fooled EVERYONE!

Maybe you outta' start wearing STEEL-TOWED shoes with your beach attire?

Glad the end of the weekend turned out so well for 'ya!

Regards,

The charter boys are actually leaving their boats overnight at the Plantation. Think gas docks are where its at.
