Default Ever hit your own boat....with you own car??

Weaving in and around the sailboats "still on the hard" with their tarps hanging down reminded me of a stupid move I made many years ago. I had my boat blocked up in my back yard with a tarp on it for the winter. I tried to drive around it tightly and where the tarp was hanging I thought the car would just push the hanging tarp out of the way.... but the actual hull was just behind that section of tarp, so I whacked the boat with the hood and put a dent in it. Idiot move, but stuff happens.

What about you?

No, but I did back into a car in my driveway--my other car. Before an insurance claim could be made, my daughter had a wreck in it and we got both fixed.

When I first got my license the house we lived in had a long straight driveway. Dad had 3 vehicles and they had to park nose to tail so sometimes it was a Chinese firedrill to get the right vehicle out for whatever or whoever needed it. One time I got in the middle vehicle and backed up hard into the one behind. Dad had a wicked temper at inappropriate moments but that time he was completely cool. I felt even worse because he didn't blow up.

Not a vehicle but....... Just finished putting new capping on the garage doors. The next day, pushed the boat trailer into the garage to grease the bearings while it was raining. After finishing, I hooked the boat up to the truck to go fish, without first pushing the boat out of the garage like I thought about doing... figured I could pull it out without any problem.... boat cleared the doorway, but the damn wheel fender caught the garage door weather stripping and ripped the capping right off. Still pisses me off thinking about it..

One time I backed my Porsche out of the garage into the rear bumper of my Yukon XL in the driveway. The Yukon 'won'. I subsequently extended the driveway 16 ft so I could park the Yukon beyond the danger zone.

I backed my loaner Mercedes SUV into my daughters car, as my son and I were mesmerized by the back up camera showing the top view of the car as we backed up. It was kind of like watching a video game, until the crunch...

A little confusion related to the above. I had my 5th wheel behind my truck with my boat behind the camper. When I got to the campground I unhooked the boat to back it into a parking spot because you surely can't back it hooked up. As one trailer wheel hit the drop from blacktop to gravel it swung the trailer hard knocking me down and let the trailer head back toward my wife, who was standing next to a pick up truck. She got out of the way and the rear corner of my boat hit the truck. I found the owner and we chatted. Next came the fun. I called the insurance company. The trailer wasn't connected to the camper or truck so I was told the boat insurance would cover it. I called that company and the real confusion started. The adjuster said the damage caused by the trailer wasn't covered. I told him that the boat hit the truck, not the trailer. He said he believed that coverage was only for damage caused while the boat was in the water. He was trying his best to find some detail that might give him some info on how to proceed. Then he said, "Hey, are you the (my name here) that used to work at ***********?" Once he figured out that we used to work together he said not to worry, he would take care of it.

When I was younger we had a 21ft walk around parked in the back corner of our property. The FIRST time my younger brother ever cut grass, he somehow managed to t-bone (the trailer).

And they STILL let you drive for the business after school. You have very nice parents.

Backed the brand new trailer into the house while letting my Son guide me .
Took out the light . Had about 6 miles on the trailer.
Wife backed into Sons 2018 Civic leaving for work one morning .
He had parked it sideways behind her van . Scuffed up the bumper .
less the. 2k miles on it.
