Default I Survived !!!

My Oldest of 3 kids turned 15 today . We had a good breakfast and then off to the DMV . She passed her permit exam and then a "nice" drive from the DMV to the high school . And happy to say my HEART survived the ride . I am not sure I am ready for this stage of parenthood !!!

2 down one to go for me, It was kinda good when my girls turned 15\16 they actually started talking to me again because my wife didn't have the patients to teach them how to drive. Seams like when they hit 13 I turned into the devil lol. Now I have my 7 year old boy to teach. He already loves the zero turn so hopefully I have a smooth transition. Congrats.

Congrats. Hate to say it but I'd obscure that license. Sickos and identity thieves are out there and this is an open Forum.

Like someone mentioned........BLUR THAT LICENSE NOW!!!!!

Also, I know this will not sit well but I have to say it. That's an awful lot of car for a first driver.......PLEASE teach him to respect it's power!!!!

Didn't think I would survive when my kids started to drive, now my Grandson is getting ready to get behind the wheel. Sleepless nights for me & Grandma are ahead.

Just a guess but probably not her car. I think you have to be 16 in every state to drive alone. I'm sure OP will clear it up. My youngest is 13 so I've got a few more years.

Thanks for the congrats and good wishes ! To answer a question or two .... No it’s not her car it’s mine . Her car is a Nissan Altima . Also those saying blur license , is that visible ?? I looked at it on a 27” monitor and couldn’t make out anything .... I am not tech savvy though if THT says blur out I will . I was a proud dad , we went for a 30-40 minute drive after school and no Valium required haha !! She did much better than expected

Believe it or not at this stage they're pretty safe drivers. They don't want to mess it up. Its when they get comfortable is when you worry more.....

Correct not her car , but in SC they get learners permit at 15 and at 15 1/2 they test for restricted license where they drive alone (dawn until dusk) then at 16 no restrictions at all . So I have 6 months to get her coached up before the dreaded SOLO trips and nights of heavy prayer !!

I think they were talking about her DRIVER'S license? I don't see the CAR license in the pic either.

Also, blur the license PLATE in your more recent pic. Safety's sake. Too many weirdo's on the net to risk ident.

CONGRATS to you and her!

Regards,

Mine just passed her test (turned 16 in January). The first few times she drove with her learner's were rough, but she got the hang of it. I gained some points with her by doing most of the heavy lifting when it came to teaching her. It only cost me a couple of near death experiences.

I don't think most places require that anymore? They did back when I got mine (1962). I drove Mom's '60 Valiant (3-speed floor stick) for the test.

Hey, what's a '66 Caddy - about 35-40ft. long?????????????????? BUT, I'll bet you had POWER STEERING?

Regards,
