How about doing something outside, build something, or work on your boat instead of wasting time in front of the TV?

In your case I would suggest a spelling class.

haha... I'm with you on it, despite the spelling of Thrones..... LOL

I'm not a big TV watcher unless the weather forces me indoors, which in Texas, isn't all that often. Currently, I am in Argentina....all Spanish channels do not interest me and there is more to see and do since I am new to it all here.

I am an avid reader though, so sometimes I have been known to sit back in my recliner and read when I probably should have been outside enjoying the weather.

A better way to waste time is to post online about people that waste time

More evidence I don't waste my time on this kind of thing.

Same here, that and the Avengers movie are wasting way too much air time advertising. I haven't watched either one. I just don't see the draw on all these shows and series that people become fanatical about.

come on man ... its a 1 hour show at 9pm once a week for a few months a year - I doubt it eats into anyones productive time .... and its actually a well done series ...

Now for those who live and breathe GOT - then I agree ... but the rest of us do plenty with our day ---- and by 9pm I am in bed relaxing ..

well seeing as how it comes on at 9:00 pm on sundays, the only outside activity I could think of doing then would be night putting, just putting at night.... with the 15 year old daughter of the dean.....

I love GOT. I am a productive member of society. I read the WSJ every day and always have a couple books.
I exercise , the house and yard are as nice or nicer than anything in neighborhood. Ok, the deck could use a pressure wash and maybe a new railing, but i did a lot of carpentry when i was a home builder and it brings back PTSD

I would be doing more boat projects but they are all 1:15 away.

I am very happy and fortunate. Look inward brother

It's a weird move to be the guy who is so bothered by a bunch of people being fans of a show that you run to THT to proclaim you're not a watcher.

I like that it creates conversation and community. While Im not into GOT, plenty of people in my office are. We avoid politics, religion and other topics at work and GOT is a central topic that many can discuss and enjoy talking about. Similar to other series, such as Sopranos or the Wire.

People constantly complaining about what other people do with their time is getting old. What difference does it make. I've never watched that show but if I did I really don't care if someone else does not. It's your life and your time and this is America. Be thankful you live here and do what makes you happy or do nothing if that makes you happy.

Maybe it's just more social contact but I have never seen a time in my life where people are so divided over so many things from important to trivial.

This could be the truest statement Ive read in a long time. I talk to my 14yo daughter about this all the time. Not every thing you agree or disagree with has to turn into an all out war. Just disagree and move on.

I think watching sports on TV is the biggest waste of time of anything.
