Question Corporate hotel rates

Anyone have access to some corporate rates that could check a few things for me? I have some pretty awesome retail discount rates through a partner and am trying to compare them to various data points but don't have any substantial corporate rates.

I dont need any bookings or access, just a feeler for how my rates compare.

I will tell you this. I work for a very large company. When I travel and check in, I always ask for their rates 1st. Most cases they are the same price for people walking in off the streets or we pay more. It's sad....

A few years ago the hotels seemed to be desperate. I could pick one where I had some work and they were glad to give me a rate $10-20 below advertised rate. Now it seems to be more competitive to just work the online sites like travelocity, booking.com, Expedia, etc. Last year a hotel that had always given me an excellent rate in the past was always booked solid every time I called. Good luck getting a special rate when they are already booked.

Wow. The rates I'm seeing are 25-30% below the cheapest OTAs. I thought for sure some of the corporate rates would be more competitive.

Hardly ever. I’ve had better success booking directly with hotels than even using an AAA or USAA discount.

I retired from a large corporation. We had a pretty good deal with the Hilton brands but I could frequently better that rate by using AAA or ARAP. I also had a military ID which seemed to get the best rate.

I have good luck at Marriott with Accenture (ACC) or General Dynamics (GDY).

Hilton is owner by Blackstone Investments, try:
Hilton Blackstone Discount code N9508142 &
0560068320 is code for Doubletree, Hampton inn, embassy suites.

Pay attention to if the rate you are quoted includes any "resort fees" or not. Many hotels are tacking on extra fees in the form of resort fees, which are not part of the "room rate". Also, ask about overnight parking prices as well to get a full comparison.

I travel a lot for work. I'm been getting by with the ACC (Accenture) and GDY (General Dynamics) rate code at Marriott Hotels for several years. Only once or twice did they ask for verbal confirmation, but never any ID. Sometimes it saves a lot of money.

Lately, the AAA rate sucks. It's more than the Marriott Member rewards rate.

I work in The Keys quite a bit and have a corporate rate with Hilton , 24 North and The Gates all in Key West. The rates , like said above is not that great , about what you get off of sites like Orbitz , etc. the only thing that they do for us is knock off the resort fee - usually $30.00. We have 20 room nights a week at times !! You would think that I would get a little better rate

Look up the largest companies in the area you will be traveling and ask for their rate, you don't have to lie and you'll get the best pricing...

Depends if you are getting points. Sans points the rates will usually be cheaper.

William Shatner books most of my motels....

we don't get any breaks off the resort fees, parking etc only markup.

Jun 10-15 at 24 north is $145/nt. Published (most OTAs) seems to be about $206-217

mind checking where yours is if not too much hassle?

those seem to be pretty good for unverified codes!

Marriott beachside in KW is $298 for the same Jun 10-15. Ours is $286. Published is $350-376

Govt, AARP, AAA, or senior pricing typically beat or matched ANY corporate rate for me.

this seems to be the best so far. Using KW with the same dates, Hilton garden inn is $180 with code. My rate is $178. Published is $211-228

got a pretty good deal on the Waldorf casa marina though. Corporate code is $359, ours is $257. Published is $436-493

No guarantees that they won't pinch when you check in but I've used it at least 50 times and slide by,.

If you're looking for cheap rates, get the Fed Gov't rate. They are crazy low.

Our corporate rate is a joke. Prices are ALWAYS cheaper on Kayak. Someone at the top must be getting a major kickback

Things have probably changed some, but I used to get the best rates by having whatever rewards cards for each hotel brand, and calling/booking directly with the actual hotel I planned to stay at. It would beat calling the corporate number or internet prices every time. CLC Lodging worked out pretty good, too. But they didn't always have an acceptable property where I was staying.
