Default Cheap Lobster - Boo Hoo Hoo.

Well, maybe hardworking American tax-payers will be able to afford to buy lobster now? Or, maybe we can get lobsters bigger than the tiny ones they sell now? I don't think we should send any seafood to China. Well, maybe skates and catfish.

They've already got catfish. I think here it's disguised under the pseudonym "SWAI".

Tariffs are just another name for a National Sales tax on certain goods.

Anyway I am waiting for the retail lobster prices to come down - not happening here

swai...ugh....practically raised in sewers (vietnamese "fish farms")...half of what makes it over here is often recalled due to high e.coli content and crazy chemical contents.
Might as well go bobbing for apples in those porta-potties at high school football games.

We should ship our lobsters to china..the limp lifeless ones they have in the tanks at chain grocery stores. sea bugs...

And to think, it was once considered inhumane to feed convicts Lobster more than three times a week.

China sends tons of garbage products to us and we allow it. Why not start returning the favor? Keep the best stuff for us and send them the junk.

hell I'd still consider that inhumane. Grew up in a fishing village...tons of sea bugs, crabs (small sea bugs) blue fish, striper. yuck.
I still like crab from time to time, can make a mean crab cake. But I'd not want lobstah a lot...not really a fan of it. Handled too many thousands of them as a kid and in my teen years working in shoreline restaurants..including the fairly famous Abbotts Lobster in the Rough in Noank CT for 2 years.

Mother's day ALWAYS drives up the retail price of lobster. I went to my local fish market Sunday to get my mother her favorite and there was a line out the door of folks waiting to get lobster. And if you think the guy hauling traps off the coast every morning is driving to his brand new boat in his $100,000 MB bought with all the cash he makes of them, you're sorely mistaken.

Go to vimeo and search "Dirty water, dangerous fish"
I only eat fish that I or someone I know caught.

Not to beat a dead horse since it seems like a lot of people only care about cheap but being a long term net importer is terrible for our economy. There is nothing wrong with trade but it has to be balanced.

That's the crux of the problem. We've gotten not just drunk but downright full on heroine-addicted to cheap shit.

The Chinese communist party controlled press has declared a "Peoples War" in support of their governments trade policies. The American democrat party controlled press is screeching about the price of children's toys going up.
