Default Good job idiot..as bad as dragging the shark video? **update** video has been remove

Guy posted this on the center consoles only fb page..getting hammered right now. Complete moron. And he's a lawyer to boot. I've killed raccoons before but this guy is a douche. It's a private group so hopefully the link works.

**edit** link is private. Made a little youtube video. Pardon the quality.

Well the guy just deleted the videos. Looks like I recorded it just in time. It shall live forever on youtube.

So this happened. . The douchebag lawyer put a copyright on this video I uploaded and got it removed

It’s taken on a life of its own. All the posts are now about raccoons lmao. He shouldn’t have posted it.

Damn... he couldn't have found a way to clean out one of his deck boxes and got the raccoon in it and got it back to dry land?

That's all the footage he posted. And apparently he just deleted them all. Got it right in time.

Thumbs down

Poor decision making ability, could be a case of animal cruelty depending on State, how did the "captain" [used very loosely] get that far without knowing of the uninvited guest??

I didn’t see anyone harm that raccoon in the video.

Those things can get MEAN when confronted. I ran into one as a kid under a friends deck and the thing wanted to rip my head off.. Scared the crap out of me. I'm not sure how I'd react if one was on my boat offshore.. Whatever I would do it certainly would not be recorded...

Yeah this guys need for attention on social media took over and drove the situation vs logical thinking. You simply can't trust a man who's actions are driven by social media attention.

Just thinking what I'd do in that situation...and yes those are mean critters. But there's no way I'd leave it in the middle of the ocean on purpose to suffer. Nor would my first thought be to grab my freaking phone.

I saw it in the group. The 3 videos he posted did not show if he left it in the water but his words sure suggested that was his plan. Plenty of people tagged FWC on the post.

I've never been in this situation but my immediate plan was to get Racoon overboard, scoop up with dip net and into empty storage area. Keep fishing and slip a little bait and water in occasionally. When you get to the ramp tie a line to storage latch and get back before pulling open. Not guaranteeing that plan wouldn't go bad though. I'm recovering from surgery right now so my judgement may not be top notch.

Never know if that critter was rabid. I wouldn't be taking chances.

It is the great circle of life.
