Yep, in a world of 7 plus billion people each having miraculous incidents in their life every day there’s nothing like a single case of anecdotal incident to provide adequate proof to support a life impacting belief. That’s the reasoning behind people declining to wear seat belts, or get immunized against measles.

I read the news yesterday and not a WORD on how they got "Swept" out to sea!
I guess that was another (failed) miracle for the sharks.

Riptide, they were found approximately 1.5 miles from shore.

It has been proven over and over again that doing nothing in a crisis situation is about as likely to succeed as doing literally anything else. Pray for me as I am surely going to hell for saying that ;-)

Funny how we call on the lord to save us at times. Glad they made it.

God is always reaching down his hand to us. We just need to reach up to his. These kids knew that.

I read it that this God fellow might be better off providing drinking water for the millions of Somalians with dirty drinking water than monitoring the Florida coastline for teenagers swept out to sea.

But i I surely admire his sense of irony sending the boat named "Amen" to rescue them.

HTJ,

If someday you find yourself in the situation they were in or perhaps worse, what will you do? Do you think they were wrong to pray?

I was simply taking a light hearted and satirical poke at the idea of divine intervention saving two kids that made a bad decision while 2 die literally every minute simply by virtue of where they were born.

It just sounds like too many things came together at the same time. Teens from a Christian school get carried out to sea while swimming and out of the blue, a boat name amen comes along to save them. Kinda sounds like getting beet up at 1 in the morning during a record artic cold spell by some guys in MAGA hats who just happen to be out looking for someone to beet up.

Some of you people are brutal. Why is it such a bad idea to pray? When all hope is lost, why not turn elsewhere and seek hope? Seems to me you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Geesh.
