Default Avengers: End Game

Wife and kid wanted to go see it Sat. I went along. We didn't wait in long lines and the theater was not sold out.

Can't say I was terribly impressed. The beginning was very slow. Middle was OK. End was less than impressive. I got the impression they started out spending more than they should and as the film approached deadline and exhausted its budget they started cutting corners and abbreviating scripts. I don't feel it lived up to its billing and definitely not best movie of the year territory but it will probably top the list in earnings. Too many characters, poor acting. Makes you wonder...

Interested in others impressions. Trying to avoid spoiling it for those who haven;t seen it so intentionally being a little vague. Looks to me like Disney is going to kill yet another great legendary franchise.

I saw it with my daughter yesterday and had the opposite experience and reaction. The theater was packed. Tickets were scarce. I felt that from opening scene right through the credits, it kept the audience engaged and on the edge of their seats. The storyline was interesting and the characters had the similar banter that they had through most of the movies. The final battle scene was intense. Their were a couple of key moments that the whole theater cheered. All in all I thought it was a great movie and a fitting end to the franchise. Although, it left so many loose ends that there's guaranteed to be a pile of spinoffs.

Avengers TriumphAvengers: Endgame took $1.2 billion on its opening weekend. That's four times Disney's own cautious forecast, and by far the biggest opening weekend in cinematic history (the previous record-holder was Avengers: Infinity War one year ago, with a relatively modest $640.5 million.) I saw it, I was not disappointed. Great movie and a great ending to the Infinity Saga. Plot holes? For sure, but there is a talking tree and a talking raccoon that can understand the tree, so if I can suspend belief for that, I can suspend it for the plot holes.

1.2 bill?? must be awful.

what's worse, a comic book dork or a pro wrestling geek?

they're pretty much 1 in the same....

normally i'd bust a comic dork's balls for all these comic book movie watching things but I have to remind myself, I like pro wrestling...

Ironically, I have never spent the time or money to see a Star Wars movie. Can't stand it.

Our theater was PACKED, sold out!
We thought movie was fantastic start to end. Like mentioned numerous cheering which I have not experienced in a movie in well over 2 decades or more.

A smash hit by all accounts. Well, that is except for Mr. ROS here....(Ray Of Sunshine)

Eagerly awaiting "Avengers: End Game 3". I hear it's supposed to have astronaut zombies.

The kid and his buddies loved it so I'm good. Worst thing was I sat away from my kid and his buddies because theater was full and ended up sitting next to a very obese girl that was too big for her seat and never stopped squirming through the whole movie.

I can't believe that that Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, and Black Panther all died.

Kidding. Haven't seen it yet.

I rank each movie on its own merits. I don't like movies just because they are part of a series or trilogy. I'm not going to give it a thumbs up just because everyone is going to it. Of the Avengers movies to date, I don't think this was the best, others were much better. Captain marvel was better. Saw Bumblebee last weekend and liked it better than Avengers End Game. It had some issues as well but it was likeable and the actors were no names.

I wasn't impressed with the first two, and I doubt I will be with this one. My son want's to see it, so I will take him. Otherwise I will be fine seeing it when it shows up on the Pirate Bay.

I'm not really into these "All Star" movies, where they crap every character in the franchise into one movie; each getting about 5 minutes of ball busting each other.

True about the cheering. Especially that part with Capt in the final battle. Everyone jumped out of their seats. Even had clapping at the end. Surprisingly no disrespectful noise makers through the entire movie

Happens to me all the time. It's like parking the furthest in a parking lot and some a-hole parks right next to me. Even when my local theater switched to recliner seats which gave more room, but seems like the people got bigger. Learned my lesson and just buy 3 seats and sit in the middle. lol

I’m not going. I feel asleep in the last one. The wife elbowed me when I snored. It was funny as shit.

Huge fan of the series myself. Even not a comic book guy, but as a movie buff I love how they took 22 movies and created such an interlocking story line over a decade and brought it all together in the end.

Already planning to wanna take my folks to see it since its been a long time since they've seen a movie in a theater and again in IMAX 3d on my own. First time seeing it was in Dolby Cinema with coworkers. Great format btw to see a movie. Assigned seats, comfy recliners with built in subwoofers
