Amazing how you want to start a simple thread to have a friendly conversation with others that enjoy the same hobby as you....only to get bombarded with smart asses, trolls, and know it alls!

Meh...It's a big forum with a lot of members from literally all over the world. Nobody knows where you're from, or who Capt Brian is, and the weather across the globe varies greatly so a post that asks "did any get out in those six footers yesterday?" maybe have fallen short.

Ha...welcome to THT! There is no such thing as "simple" here! Take this thread for example... Marina refusing to release boat to me, is this legal?

Something that is a no brainer and yet, look at the opinions in this one thread! Just let it go......

The English language is a great tool and a great form of communication if you use it correctly.

We have absolutely no idea where are or located (somewhere in Dixie I would presume based upon your self-appointed user-name). And we don't know who a Brant or an Austin. If you want feedback on your fishing experience, you'll need to provide details.

And don't contradict yourself in a single post.

I don't think anyone is "trolling" you. I am sure that a freeman run by a lic captain did great!
But your communication is lacking. I think that is what your are missing

And by being super sensitive and ignorantly calling people trolls is not going to get you any help or sympathy and ultimate will just hurt your initial effort (whatever that was)

I'm def not looking for any help or sympathy that's forsure. If people can't have a friendly convo then they shouldn't comment at all. Therefore if they are a smartass than that's what they receive back. Thanks for your opinion.

A few of the charter guys up here tried it yesterday and, as expected, called it a sheetay kind of day. They all scrapped together a catch of hoos and blackfins but it wasn't fun, and they're all 55'+ boats!

Here's an example of a post that would be better in a regional forum

You have to be a guy because a woman would say it is a 21 ft 10 3/4" incher.

No. That's why asked what the period of the swells was. 10 seconds will be comfortable. 3 seconds will be unfishable and dangerous.

FYI, many here are tired of hearing how Freemans are the be all end all of boats that can handle 10 footers like it is a glass calm day, catch more fish than a dragger, attract beautiful females and make you a sandwich all at the same time. I am sure they are fine boats, but nowhere near what people make them out to be. It just gets old listening to the fan boys.
