Likely the best contestant I've ever seen on Jeopardy... and we watch Jeopardy like most people watch the Superbowl. Great game.

This is the first time in all the years we have been watching, I refuse to watch this guy. Some players are harder to watch than others, this guy is someone I just have to pass on. I will watch once he gets beat.

I felt the same regarding that chick with the squeaky voice, my gosh how irritating. Got lots of flack for that. Lots of sensitive folks here.

Didn't some guy named Ken win 74 nights in a row?

That guy was whipping ass yesterday. I told my wife those poor two other contestants probably waited years to make the show only to be paired up with that machine.

This dude is cleaning up... Forget the wagers he makes on the Daily Doubles, he usually already has a commanding lead. Enjoy watching him on the show...

Link for those who don't watch ---- I DVR it and play it before I go to bed.

Ha! Same talk in my house... the guy last night was all bragging about the engineering club or whatever... Pssssst. He got wiped. And the girl in the middle -- my 10 year old was beating her. LOL.

Yup! He bets big, because he can... not because he wants to. If the spread is $10k - $2k - $500... in SJ -- then go all-in on $10k. It's easy to catch the $2k guy.

What I want to see is what happens when the spread becomes $6k - $5k - $5.5k... how's he going to bet? Will he run all in or will he go $3k figuring he'll grab more in DJ? when he hits a DD? The guy is a refined player. But what I've seen with his strategy is that if there's an early set-back, they don't get back on the horse. In this guy's case he has two thing that the other don't have. Buzzer and brains. He is likely as smart with the buzzer as he is intellectually.

...

As to the rest of the replies: The little home school girl with the squeaky voice was awesome. LOL. And I have zero idea how you can't like the current guy. You can learn a lot watching the show. But it could be just me -- most guys are into the television sports... this is sort of my thing... and I'm totally cool with being weird. :-)...

Now... some of the guys on the Championship this year... Yuk. Brad... can't stand him. And the other guy... the ex-bartender that bought the big BMW with his coin... he's a DB. But this current guy? Great.

We watch regularly but I'm not sure why. Until they break out subjects like USMC hazing, irritating your spouse, interstate merging, and sleep deprivation I'll continue to yell "WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT SHAKESPEARE CHARACTERS" at the TV on a nightly basis.

It’s all about hitting that button at the right time. My uncle has a good friend who tried out in the early s 2000s. Guy is bright but he didn’t have the look.

I have watched Jeopardy for more than 30 years.

This new guy might be the best to ever play the game. Time will tell. But last nights game was truly unbelievable.

This is guy is a professional gambler, and unbelievably smart. What a perfect combo. I can’t wait to see how far his run goes. However, it will be a very tough road to unseat Ken Jennings as the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time).

This is should be fun to follow. I am all in......

Besides his brashness on the betting, and his cat like reflexes :-) on the buzzer ----- I don't think there are too many subjects that he is not well versed in..... I think that's what impresses me the most. Not to mention that he's a pretty young dude to know what he does. My guess, a Good Will Hunting.

Pretty good in final Jeopardy, if you can add and subtract.
