I'll be heading out of NRI Sunday if the weather holds. Looks amazing as of right now. I'll only be going out a few miles though, looking for bonito/bonita.

I'll be out in the 100+ range as well chasing bottom critters. Running out of Bogue. I sure hope the forecast holds as I am in desperate need of a fishing fix.

I'm planning to go out. First time going on my own boat!!! I've been getting everything ready for a while now so hopefully I thought of everything! Think I'm just going to troll...no wreck fishing.

Is the 100/400 area out of Southport productive in late march? Mostly for trolling. Or should we just stick with the tower? Any advice would be appreciated. Still learning the offshore thing.

the 100/400 is substantially further offshore than the tower.

Ive done both. Best I remember, it was about 40 miles to tower if stopping at Horseshohe first or about 55 miles to go straight to 100/400 area. I’ve always had luck at the tower so I was wandering if the few more miles to 100/400 this time of year would be worth the trouble.
