Default ICW Southbound Wrightsville to Charleston

Planning a spring trip down the ICW, looking for places to stop and check out.
Will be needing overnight dockage within walking distance of hotels and restaurants. Rough itinerary is WB to MB, MB to GT then GT to Charleston.
Any recommendations relating to marinas and hotels is appreciated.
Boat is a 28' W/A in case it matters.
TIA

Boat should be perfect for the trip. Were it me, unless you really want to do stuff in MB, I would push the first day direct to Georgetown unless something is happening in MB you specifically want to see. Long ish day, but nothing crazy. If you want to stop for certain in MB, perhaps see if anyone is playing at House of Blues. There is a hotel/Marina next to Ruths Chris at Grand Dunes, just down from Barefoot Landing. They have dockage at Barefoot, but not overnight I don't believe. Been quite a while since I came through there.

Plenty of good eats in Georgetown, and ample fuel opportunities there. In Charleston your two best bets for transient dockage are Charleston City Marina, or Ashley Marina. 2 hotels you can walk directly to from Ashley Marina, and all of downtown is close by from City Marina via Uber/Shuttle.

If the trip is about scenery, take part of one day and go on south a bit beyond Edisto.

Wrightsville to Chaz is approx. 140 nm. Easy 1 day trip. It would be fun and scenic to go inside on way there, stopping at Georgetown. I too, would bypass MB.

City Marina has a hotel in walking distance and free shuttle downtown until 7 pm. Lots to do in downtown Charleston.

My opinion, n c coast nothing to compare with GT to Savannah, I personally like coastal towns better.

Charleston, Hilton Head, Beaufort, and Savannah have the best of the Carolinas for me.

There is an active thread on Savannah going right now you can check out imo.

Instead of MB or GT, I would suggest Murrels Inlet. Plenty of restaurants/bars near the the MI marina as well as a few motels. In Charleston you could stay at Shem Creek Inn, one of the hotels at Patriots Point or Ripley Light or if you want to be on the Peninsula the Marriott next to the City and Ashley Marina.

via what route? I agree MI is great, but that involves a good bit of running outside to access. Definitely worth doing if planning to run Georgetown north outside, but definitely need to take the forecast into account on that route.

I do not think they have room formally. I highly recommend another day to Beaufort, SC. Downtown Marina and plenty of B&B's to walk to. One "motel/hotel" I know of. You won't need a car but if so, the marina had a courtesy one for loan.

I agree with the above, Edisto to Beaufort is a beautiful stretch. He always make a day trip down there when we stay at Edisto.

If u stop in MB u can rent a room in the barefoot towers right behind the marina. Theres also a restaurant, pool, and ur walking distance to House of Blues and Barefoot landing. Im sure they do transient slips there too. Or u dock at Grande Dunes and ur an Uber from BF landing or Broadway at the beach. Plenty of food and fun choices

Now we might stretch the trip down to Savannah. How is the Westin?
