Agreed. However, I do like the Fishing Schools put on by The Fisherman's Post.

Its a good way to spend a few hours on a winter weekend if you don't have anything else to do.

I prefer the seminars put on at the OIFC spring kickoff.

It's worth $9 just to see the Onslow Bay.

Again, not a bad way to spend a few hours on a winter weekend.

I'll be working at the Hanta rods booth friday and saturday. Be hard to miss me so if you walk by introduce yourself!

Most folks can find some cool stuff there. And the seminars are a place to learn a little. Not a bad way to spend some time.

If the weather turns bad Sunday enough to where I can’t work I may go...the earlier reports had me skeptical but sounds like if the weather is bad it may be worth checking out

I'm going with a couple fishing buddies on Saturday around lunch time. To be fair I live about 20 minutes away from the fair grounds though. I really hope Anglers Marine bring up the East Cape Bay.

it’s a thing of beauty for sure. The trailer is magnificent. I just seen it yesterday again as I was picking my boat up from anglers. I however will not deal with them again no matter what unless forced to. I’ll leave it at that.

Hope they hit a home run with the new sled. Brad builds a great ride.

Apparently Brad had to leave on short notice today for family emergency. No idea if he will be back.
27 and 33 OBs there today. Both very nice boats.
34, 38, and 41' Fountains in the back LH corner just past the OBs. Lots of wifey bells and whistles on them. I could almost call the 41 gawdy.
Couple of the Robalo's were nice, but they didn't have anything with twins.
I thought the WellCraft's were the best value for the $ in a boat with twins - same as I thought last year, but for the life of me some of the stuff they throw on there isn't for me. I think only 1 gunnel mounted rod holder on each side in the stern - fail there.
WAY too much bass and freshwater tackle for me, but I guess that may be the market share in the area.
Ladder1 ( Brian) stopped me to say hello. He wasn't there selling EyeCatcher lures again this year. I think the move of most tackle vendors to the smaller building ended it for him. Good to see him though.
If you are into high quality, lightweight rods, go see Anthony at the Hanta Rods and Lures booth. Amazingly lightweight and powerful rods in his lineup. He has some more budget lines now.
9 bux for 3 hours - I got my $'s worth.

Thanks for the summary sounds about like the same stuff as every other year... will probably stop by Sunday since it’s supposed to be a cold rainy day anyways and I live fairly close

Many more boats this year than last year but fewer saltwater vendors. It was a nice way to spend the day.
Also renewing your Sea Tow , boatus , etc is a great deal. I extended me Boatus for a year and save $60 for boat show special. They just added a year to my expiration date that was due to expire in April.

Not really any salt water lures and tackle. Probably the last year I will go unless they have an area for it again. The show name is Bass and SALTWATER Expo, not bass and boats. Several of the boat vendors that make ocean going fishing boats were not pleased with the change and did not really know that it was such a big difference from prior years.
