Default Oregon Inlet area on trailer storage?

Close to pulling the trigger on a 27 Albemarle, but I'm 4 hours from there and don't want to trailer her every trip. Any suggestions for on trailer storage lots in that area?? Would want it secure, convenient enough to a ramp so I could not have to fold the tower, and also have access to fresh water to flush/wash.

Thanks!

here's another option:
Dry Storage

this might be less expensive:

Plenty of places as you come on to the island over the bridge.

If you are just looking for storage boat and trailer

There nice one in Manteo just a bit north across front the boat dealership

There are several to the south as you head toward Wanchese next to RV park

Beach hvac has a super nice storage lot. All stone, power washer, water, electric, told me they were going to add an outside shower. Good people too.

Beach Air is great. They just put in a fantastic wash down station as well. The owners and staff are really top notch too.

Thanks guys!! Having some options will make going for this a lot easier.

Now to see if the price is flexible enough considering the work needed.

With a tower almost anywhere you keep it you might have a issue. Want idea what your height on the trailer is going to be.

You'll be making it a heck of a lot easier on yourself if OBX Marina has any room in their dry storage. Unless your tower on the boat is under 13' 6" loaded then you'll have to fold it because of the overhead power lines.

You can do month storage at Teach's in Hatteras, I kept mine there last summer with no issues, it isn't fenced or anything but it is Hatteras.

With my tower up and bimini off (31 Jupiter), I am 14' 6" off the road, I can just get under the canopy at the gas dock at Teach's and have 2 to 3' of clearance on power lines. One of my buddies said power lines are supposed to be 16'6" off the road, only lines I see that are low are cable TV lines but I don't want to find out if they are wrong about the 16' 6" clearance for power so my gets torn down for towing anything over a few miles.

Make sure you have it down when towing through Hatteras Village. Don't ask me how I know

Lines are lower than 16' there for sure.

Island Storage in Frisco may have room if you want it fenced in and/or stored inside. I have a buddy that keeps his boat inside there.
Island Storage, LLC

Village Marina has a lot on the other side of the creek from the office for $100 during season and $75 off season. It is not fenced in.
Village Marina Dockage

Village Marina also has a ramp.

I spoke with the guys at Teach's yesterday and I'm pretty sold on there. I believe the guys name was Darren and couldn't have been nicer. The rate is $60 for a week or $200 for a month but that includes all ramp fees which are usually $10 a pop. He also said there would be an area to use with hose for boat wash down and engine rinse. Might be a little more money but services and convenience will win with me. Thanks for suggestions.
I will be starting a thread soon asking for advice on the trip to Hatteras. First trip and know there is a bunch of good ideas that will help make it great.

Teach’s is nice but I’m not sure about a place to rinse or flush on trailer. I might be wrong but I don’t recall it.

Hey guys, bringing this back alive... Currently now have a 26 footer that I don't want to trailer from Richmond every time. Couple more questions:

Beach Air- where is the closest ramp? Is there a place you can clean your fish nearby?

OBX marina- do you have the option to wash up the boat there before its put up? I can't think of putting her up salty and bloody... Do they have a place you can clean your catch?

thanks!

Closest ramp is across from Pirate's Cove, 2 miles away.

Check with Steve @ Joes Marine, I believe he has fenced in trailer storage across the street from his shop. You are 2-mins from a boat ramp.
