Seas were pretty nice today. We were skunked on the kings. Tried close to the beach, some AR's and the shipping channel. No love. I would definitely fish tomorrow if you are on the fence. Chance of showers in the morning but seas look decent.

Fishing and seas were both good today. Glad to see a big open this year, last I heard was around 470 boats.

We did the same as seachicken. No love. Some real big falsies in about 25ft of water. A lot of boats at lighthouse rocks, 175est. Weather was nice but small chop. Real comfy 46knt cruise while sipping one of many corona lites. Look for Team Pokey if your on the water. Rocking the pink breast cancer ribbons to show support to loved ones and anyone else affected by the tata cancer! .... and if your the stud that got a 43lb weighed before cutoff, we'll done! That fish is a dam wahoo and I'm jealous AF!

Who were the idiots on channel 6 aggravating the heck out of the rest of the fleet? They were imitating some sort of Asian language, talking crap about other boats and their owners, bragging about how much they had drank, making up ludicrous boat names and pretending to call that boat, just being overall pricks. Think I even heard them make a stab at your breast cancer ribbon Pokey. Guess I haven’t listened to the radio in a while, is this common nowadays in tournaments?

Enjoyed coming down and fishing although we got our butt handed to us. We weighed two fish on Friday and just couldn't get a bite on Saturday but that's the way it goes. Head back North now and prepare for next weekend......

When the bite is slow, jack wagons don't have anything better to do.

Good fishermen are working hard trying to find a bite instead of screwing around on the radio. Actually most of the best fishermen I know I never ever hear on the radio, they keep the dang thing turned off.

We fished oak island piers, AR440, and river channel Friday with nothing. Lighthouse rocks sat in the fleet. Got a nice 26.55 sat that landed us in 92nd place out of over 450 boats. Pretty good for a team that doesn't king fish but a few times a year. Some beast weighed for sure. As for the radio chatter, it's always a good listen for sure. 6 is a local channel and the good ol boys of Brunswick county never fail to impress!

We fished the parking lot both days. Had a ton of bait Friday but ended the day with a short strike and pulled hooks on a good sized fish.

Saturday no joke started fishing around 10 with a total of 9 pogies just couldn't find them in numbers. And 12:00 we got a bite while our last 2 pogies were out. Ended up being a 29.55# which put us in 57th out of 473 boats. Caught more bait and fished the rest of the day in the shipping channel with no love.

Congrats to all those in the money and everyone was able to weigh fish.

Isn't that about how it goes? Friday we ran south about 35 miles to get bait which two throws provided about 8 dozen big beautiful pogies we ran back checked out then fished the river channel a bit with no love, shot up to the cucumber and caught a 8.15 on our 2nd line out then a little later caught a 22.10 Saturday bait was much tougher to find we wound up throwing on some mullets in the surf, got a couple dozen and went to the parking lot. No love there so we went back to cucumber with only a 50lb cobia uggg came back to parking lot with 45min to fish and had a huge knock down and then silence...... saw one sky we turned around and a freaking shark came through and hooked up. It was all a fun experience though until the fuel filter assembly decided to go at the boat ramp before loading the boat. Luckily we had the o ring kit to rebuild it and did so right there. Oh what a weekend lol

Tournament takes it over and sells them.

Our 39.65 from Saturday. A site to see it air out on the bait. Landed us 8th place overall. Last year would have been second but this year way more big fish than I have seen in a while.

Thanks. No we didn't do SKA this year due to them changing tournaments and us choosing either that or king fish cup. To me king fish cup is better IMO.

We had a great time. We got a 40.45 team Eastbound.

We're looking forward to this weekend too.
