Default Hatteras 6-11

Started above the 000's and ended up behind the rock pile. Ended up with 21 dolphin. Should have had a limit but couldn't get the last school we saw to bite.

So that's why your boat looked familiar. Nice to meet you.

Nice haul.

But what is that in the water out in front of your boat? Looks like a whale.

Back side of a white cap. Wind picked up a little in the afternoon.

Yes it did and Hatteras inlet is crazy. I followed a charter boat back and it was low tide I was seeing 3' deep. Not sure how the big boats aren't tearing their stuff up.

I seen you out there, in a 235 right? We didn't do as well only 3 Dolphin but we spent a lot of time bottom fishing too. Nice catch

Yea that was us. I'm not sure what depth was, I was trying not to stuff the bow. I followed a charter to the inlet but it ended up cruising right on through. It's not marked very well that's for sure.

Nice catch! The mahi fishing has definitely picked back up since the wind let up last week...
Don't look down at your finder when heading through the sound! It's better than it's been, but still got plenty of dredging to do!
Most of the Charter guys don't have a problem following them through (catching them the night before helps a lot though!)... But, PLEASE don't stop in front of us!!! Had a nice towing bill last year... an outboard got scared and slowed way down right in front of us... as soon as we came off plane, we hit bottom!
