Default Favorite Boat Shoe???

Guys,
With Father's Day coming, my FIL needs new boat shoes. He is wanting something with good support.

What is your favorite boating shoe? He takes them off to get in the water, but wears them while underway.

Thanks in Advance!

I'm a fan of the Columbia drainmakers. They are a sneaker style. I have worn them in the water and they did a good job walking on oysters and rocks.

Only issue is thry don't dry quickly and they stink if you don't wash them. I throw them in with the laundry after fishing and they're good to go

I've tried several but always come back to the classic sperry topsiders. They are more comfortable now than ever, last long time, slip on/off. Good protection for my toes and feet. Reasonably water resistant. Admiral approved. I buy them at rack room, 2 pairs at a time to get 50% off the second pair. 2 pair last me a year or two of daily use.

I tried many boat shoes but landed back at crocs because of shock absorption, they dry instantly, don't stink - even when bloodied from fishing, easy on and off and finally, they are relatively cheap! I wanted a closed toe due to toothy fish and crocs fit that bill too. Good luck!

Crocs. Best boat shoe out there. My doc actually told me to start wearing them for my plantar fasciitis. Cured my plantars and work awesome on the boat. Dry quick, impervious to guts, blood, and whatever and are cushy enough to stand in all day. At one time I swore I would never wear those ugly things, now I wouldn't be without them.

I've tried crocks and do like the cushion but my feet are always either wet when I am wearing them or feel wet or both. They feel like what they are - 100% rubber shoes.

Camo crocs! Fish can't see them and they float. Plus they comfort your paws and you can wash the stink off with dawn! Other than that I wear reefs or my xtratuf dorado print boots for when I want to floss like a dentist and stay warm winter wahoo fishing

I bought a pair of the Soft Science shoes a few weeks ago and really like them. Slip on and off, dry quickly, and have a lot of support.

Default best water shoe

Adidas Climacool Water Shoe
These shoes are awesome! Light and dry super fast, also very comfortable. I just bought a second pair. I used flip flops for years but these are light years ahead of them. Ive had saltwater, blood, all over em and they still dont stink!

My favorite shoe is a Teva shoe, it looks something like this:
http://www.teva.com/sale/evo/1006249...cgid=men-shoes

It's reasonably cool, I slide a pair of gel inserts in them. Comfy and skid proof. If they get nasty, I toss 'em in the washer.

Mine are bright blue...got them from Woot.com on a sale. Wish we'd gotten 2-3 pair, had no idea I'd like 'em so much.

no, but when the soles wear out throw them away; once that happens they become slicker than owl turds
