Default Where to do my own work?

Boat is in wet slip in Little River. Need to change water pump impeller. I thought Cricket Cove would rent me one of their cradles for a day to service my boat but they say NO. Don't have a trailer. Grand Harbor charges $200 to haul out and also the charge to use their cradle/blocks. Anybody know who/where I can get my boat out for a day so I can service? If I have to come up with $250 just to haul it out it may be about even to pay someone to do the impeller. I have all the parts.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Why do you have to haul to change an impeller?

I don't know specifics, but maybe try Ocean Isle, Holden Beach, and Southport Marinas.

Good idea. I'll try those. Thanks.
All I need is just a day to get this done and I'm set for the season. Me and the other 997,461 boaters in the area!

Would it be cheaper to rent a trailer?

Probably but my old 2whl drive Ford pickup is not up for pulling it up the ramp. It's seen better days...
For curiosity sake, who rents trailers in the Little River area?

I've got a boat in cricket cove too. Send me a pm I may have a trailer you can use, that impeller is easy to replace, I did my df175 last year on a windy rainy day at the ramp, it takes an hour tops.

Ok that sounds like a deal then. I've got one possibility for a haul out possibility that I will let play out first. If it doesn't go then I will touch base. Thank you.

Cool just let me know if I can help, the ramp behind the bass pro is never crowded weekdays and it's very open, it would make a easy place to drop your lower unit and replace your impeller.

Thanks I appreciate the kind offer(s). I have something cooking that may work for a haul out. I hope it works. Sort a "friend of the manager" type of thing. I really need to replace the impeller, change the out drive grease, and hoped I would have time for a coat of wax on the hull. If the above mentioned "friend" deal doesn't work I will defininatly call some of you fellers!
