I live and work in Downtown Raleigh. Mainly fish around Morehead/Beaufort and Emerald Isle/Swansboro.

Would love anyone who wants to buddy boat/hop aboard and teach. I'm determined to boat a few reds and flounders this coming season. Happy to take people out who can show me a thing or two.

I could do that. We used to be regulars at Rushing Buckets before they collapsed under the pressure of providing good customer service. Haven't tried the new place... Tavern42 I think? We drank many nights at 1/2 price or free under the old manager. It was super convenient having a bar/restaurant 2mins from the house.

Bridge is in progress. They currently have platforms being constructed from both sides of the ICW, both are actually right at the edge of the ICW on both sides. As I understand it, these platforms will be used to build the actual bridge then removed. The bridge itself will be located north of the platforms closer to the existing swing bridge. Construction does not appear to be impacting traffic flow yet. There is a large staging area on either side at the beginning of the platform. It's seems like it's going well so far.

Haven't made Tavern 42 yet, but I know a singer that performs there, so we will definitely make it one of the days he plays...He also plays at Deep River and several other locations of course.

We really enjoy the folks (crowd and staff) at Deep River...good folks there...
