Nascar Hall of Fame downtown. Christmas lights in McAddenville (off of I-85 South) or at the Speedway (off of I-85 North) this time of year. Bobcats at Time Warner arena downtown. NC Music Factory downtown.
Coyote Joes Country and Western Bar has dance lessons every Wed nite...Women get in free.

No shortage of things to do or great places to eat in Charlotte. Adult entertainment to museums to Nascar.

If your close to Pineville, there's a burger join called Dive N on south blvd towards the mall. Awesome burgers. Good lunch place, they don't stay open past 3 or 4 i think. i 2nd the music factory. i'd choose Uptown Cabaret over the men's club though. :D

Gotta have the London broil at Alexander Michaels. If you are in uptown, dandelion market is good as well. stuffed bell peppers were excellent when i was there.

Charlotte doesn't have much in the way of independent, reasonably priced food. It's primarily chain stores on either end of the budget. There are more high end independents now, but you really have to shop for good, mid-priced food in that town.

The best burger in town is Brook's in NoDa - there's no dining in so you have to eat in the car or at the stand up outside. Amelie's bakery is outstanding and is open 24/7. People rave about Mac's Speed Shop, but I didn't think it was all that great. Good, but not great. Anntony's Carribean in Elizabeth used to be really, really good. Dixie's downtown has the best etouffee that I've had. People also went crazy over Mert's downtown - also ok, but not great. Price's has the best fried chicken - again, no inside dining.

It's a tough place to entertain out of town guests, because there isn't that much to do. I mean, it's pretty freaking sad that titty bars make the list. Bechler and the Levine are supposed to be good, but I haven't been to either. Downtown is cool just to walk if the weather is nice. The Bobcats suck, but the arena's pretty nice - and tickets should be dirt cheap. If you're into NASCAR, then yeah, the HOF and Lowe's are worth seeing.

If the weather sucks, check out Concord Mills Mall.

Also Rusty Rudder on the lake is a great place for lunch or nigh time activities, about a 20 minute ride from downtown. Be sure to take a cab since its a 2 lane road at exit 28, I've seen numerous checkpoints here.

Davidson is also a cool place to check out the campus and small shops, then take 115 up to mooresville and hit Vinnie's Sardine on the lake.

Davidson/Rusty/Vinnies all about 10 minutes from each other.

They were on Diner's Drive-In's and Dive's

We live 2 hours away and occasionally just drive over there to eat that chicken.
