Default Reel Repair

Looking for someone who does reel repairs in the Wilmington area? I used to take my reels to Tex's Tackle but they no longer offer the service. Just spoke to Tex a few days ago. Intracoastal Angler does not have anyone either. I want to have the level winds removed from two of my Okuma T20 Titus reels. Thanks in advance.

Agreed! I cheated on Rick and dropped off 2 reels at a local guy’s shop that has a great reputation. My reels have been there for 7 weeks now. If I had it to do over again, I’d have shipped to Rick and had my reels back by now.

I had an old Swedish-made 2-Speed Abu-Garcia that Rick would not take (he said he had only seen one before and it took him two hours to figure out the auto-shift). He did recommend Nutter Rod and Reel in Georgia. I called and they stated it could be 2 weeks before they got to it. Two days later they called and said, "All done!" Complete cleaning and repaired a problem with the anti-reverse for under $40. (This was last week. These folks are top notch!)

Call EJW in Morehead City. Not sure if they work on Okuma, but have done good reel work for me in the past
