Default First real boat help.

Im looking into getting my first real boat and am looking for some opinions. I will mostly fish Bogue sound, Beaufort area, and would like to be able to troll for dolphin and fish the closer reefs on good days. Mostly inshore/beach drifting. Budget is around 35k. Want something 5 years old or less. 23ft or less. What do yall have or suggest?

Not sure you are going to find your unicorn with today's pricing & your specs. If you want to do inshore Bogue sound and far enough offshore for Mahi, you probably are looking for an SE Parker or similar boat (Southern Cross, Jones Bros, Sea OX etc). In the for sale section a guy is selling a 21 SeaCraft with a new motor for just above your budget but out of your age spec, but that boat will satisfy all of your needs.

20-22' bay boat with a 150 HP 4 stroke would be a good compromise.

You can sometimes find Pioneer 222's close to that price range. Will be a little out of your age criteria though. If it were me on that budget, I would look at the Pioneer 202's for your primary mission. You can still take them offshore if you pick your days carefully. That parker mentioned above would be at the top of my list as well.

There is an Andros 26 for sale on craigslist that looks to be in OK condition and listed at 33k. Seems like an OK deal.

Don't think you can find a boat that will do what you want for that price under 5 years. It will most likely be 40-50k for what you just stated.

Can sometimes find the 219 Key West for that price just have to be ready to buy. Got mine this year it was a 2014 200 yamaha with 400 hrs you would never know it was a 2014 though.
