Inlet wasn't bad heading out, there is a sunken boat marked with a poly ball just inside of bouy 6. We ran to the point and found blended water best temp was 74. Packed up and headed to where the fleet was on the 870 line and saw a few yf being caught. About the last hour of the trip had a wahoo hit both short riggers and finally come tight on the planer rod, 35 lbs to end the day on a good note. Beautiful sea conditions but thr fishing was slow.

slow for us.
Friday started near the point ran up to the 750. Started trolling in the cool 64 green water hooked a hoo and lost em. Then had white marlin come into the spread twice and slash out baits. At least some excitement but nothing in the box.

Saturday went to 900, then 750, then the 650 ended up with 4 small black fins. Seemed slow for everyone around.

Anyhow that’s fishing should have been here yesterday and the big one got away.

Friday started at the point, cold and green. Ran north to the break at the 700, dirty 63 deg water to 76 and clean. Fish were there.

Abel - when you were fishing the 700 did you catch in the warm water or the cool. Seems like all our bites came in the dirty cool side.

Whats the bar looking like now.. I see they added a survey of the bar south.. but is it a good bet to just stay north of the marked channel like a couple years back?

Yeah stay north of the markers. My first time I followed a commercial boat out just to be sure we had 8-9 feet at the bar.

Yup, just run north along the bar until you get enough water to cross. Should ba a good weekend, I'm beached for the next few weeks.
