Default Beaufort/ Hilton Head/ Savannah Offshore Fishing Reports/Discussion Thread

Based on how good the Charleston offshore thread is, I wanted to start a continuing Beaufort/ Hilton Head/ Savannah offshore fishing thread for reports mainly but also for those who wish to discuss fishing offshore out of the southern Lowcountry.

We are planning a wahoo/ blackfin trip on Wednesday with some bottom bumping as well. Leaving Broad Creek Marina 0400 Not sure if we are headed north or south just yet.
Eventide on 16/68.

Lots of nice kings getting weighed in for the SC Fall Classic last few days. Hoping to get out there soon while the bite is on!

Maiden fishing voyage for Eventide. We figured everyone was getting their King on for the shootout. We decided to try for wahoo. Even though it is a little early, we headed to triple ledge for some HST. No luck. Pulled some meat and stumbled on 2 slinger dolphin and a decent king. All in all a great day for learning the new sled in open water. She did not disappoint.

Great thread and sweet rig Volleybum. We fish out of Bluffton and Charleston. Great fishing down there but rather far run for us starting way up the may river. Pelagics always seem more spread out at the Deli and the Triple Ledge compared to EB, RT, SWB and GTH.I find the bottom fishing down there much better though with a lot less pressure. World class cobia and shark if you can't run far.

Haven't done any HST recently but two weeks ago while prospecting kingfish for the shootout we boated a 73 lb. wahoo in 66 ft. Our newest angler on the team who's an avid inshore fisherman was so excited. He said it was the biggest king he'd ever seen.

I’m in. Fish out of Port Royal Sound. Waiting on new boat, so it may be a month or so, before I contribute.

Yeah Volleybum keeps the boat at BC marina...
We learned a lot about how the Eventide likes to dance..we were met with some mixed conditions throughout the day.
If anyone is considering a 31' Prowler and wondering how they handle. It's a beast! We rode out at 35-38mph 1.35mpg in tight interval 2.5s-3s with a decent wind chop, feet on the dash...at one point we flipped on the underwater transom lights and looked back at a washing machine churning.
We had a great time...
Thanks again Volleybum...

In as well...out of Windmill Harbour on Hilton Head. Went out a couple weeks ago and got one wahoo near triple ledge. Another hit one of the trolling weights at the deli earlier in the day. Hope to get some decent weather here soon.

Yes. Eventide lives at Broad Creek. Nate and the crew take great care of her!
