He won actually lol. Didn’t know it was a race. He’s apt to do this stuff where ever. Had to cancel Hawaii rough water race this year for covid. I guess he’s done it 30 something years In a row. Recently got a Guinness world record for swimming around Pitcairn island. In the circuit they call him the ‘Guru of open water’. Swam with him in high school we had about same time on a 100 sprint....difference was, he could repeat that split all day long !

2nd place was half his age :)

anyway...wanted to post here in case any locals were out today. Flew in from LA and Pics show he had some southern hospitality in town last night :)

Thats awesome. Amazing how fast some of those master swimmers are. I was out there running growth off the bottom of my boat and it looked like conditions were pretty decent at least early. We've had some recent bad weather and high fecal counts in the harbor so I hope none of them get sick.

I was at Riveredge working on my boat and saw them set up and swim in....Looked pretty dangerous with all the recreational boaters going the landing at the same time. Also, they had them swim to the RIveredge dockwith the current, then swim back to the landing against the current. Why not just swim to the Public landing dock only, They were already worn out and multiple people had to be "plucked" from the water
