My 16-year old son has saved enough money to buy his first boat, which has a 70 hp 4-stroke Suzuki on it and is located in Greenville, NC While all indications are the motor is sound and runs well (seller has receipts for work done and uses it in freshwater most weekends), my son is not in a position to handle a significant unforeseen problem and would really like to have a pre-purchase inspection done. He had a mechanic lined up in Lucama to do one today, but the seller has admitted to not having insurance on the boat and is uncomfortable with the idea of it being towed 45 minutes each way in the event an accident were to occur. So at this point we're looking for a mobile mechanic who might be able to stop by and look over the motor and run diagnostics, which I realize it a tall ask given how busy these guys are today. Just thought I'd ask in the event someone has an option for him. Thanks.
