2020 Shrimp baiting tags
#1

The 2020 SC recerational shrimp baiting season begins this friday. I ordered my tags about a month ago - still have not received them. I tried to contact SCDNR but have not been able to speak with a human that can answer the my questions.
Have the tags been sent yet?
Who can I contact to get infromation about my tags?
Does anyone have any good contact information @ SCDNR. Or any updates to the 2020 season?
thanks for your help.

A good throw!!!

I would start by making sure the order went thru.. Access the SCDNR site and check your active privileges: https://dnrlicensing.sc.gov/dnrlicen...ategories.aspx
If it's there then I think you'll have to wait on hold 803.734.3833 and/or go into the Columbia or Charleston office.
Good luck this season!

If it's anything like boat registrations, they are taking a solid month and a half to process anything via mail. I did an outboard a few months ago, and currently waiting on duplicate titles for another boat. Everything mailed 5 weeks ago, and check still hasn't cleared. On the outboard registration a few months ago it cleared at 5 1/2 weeks, and had everything in hand a day or two later.

Guys, thanks for your reply(s) I do have my Shrimp baiting license in the DNR data system. I have not received the tags for the poles. I stayed on "hold" for 35 mins before the system hung up. I'll try again - Has anybody received their tags yet?

I understand the frustration. What county do you live in? Maybe try one of the other Region office #s: https://www.dnr.sc.gov/admin/regions.html

Florence - the local DNR office is still closed.
FYI - Bartlet Milling here in Florence no longer sells the Mahyden Meal. They lost money the last 2 years due to poor shrimp bait sales due to weather? Going to have make my own recipe this year.
