Default Bait pens

Anyone have any insight on where I could find a large plastic bait pen? Or some pictures of ones you have made? Looking around 200 gallons or so give or take, something that I could put at my dock for menhadden. The one I currently have isnít big enough and Iím having a hard time finding a water tank to make it out of.

I know a lot of guys DIY them with plastic construction fencing. Here is a good thread on it: DIY Bait Pen
And you can make them any size or shape you want.

Tracker supply has plastic water tanks. Drill holes and make a lid and youíre good to go. But the 220 gallon ones donít work as good as the 500 gallon ones. I think the large diameter makes the most difference with menhaden.

ďKmacĒ that was exactly my plan I saw the 325 gallon and the 500 gallon and wanted to go with that but do you have any pictures of those how they did the lids ect? I made one already with a 250 square one I know the holes and Plexi glass lid but I want someone that will keep the otters out and not have to worry about it

I just cut a big square out of the top and mounted hinges and multiple barrel latches to keep the otters out. Use the the cut piece as the lid. Make sure to make a door big enough for a large net to fit in because the bigger the pen the harder it is to scoop the bait out.

You need a pen, I need a dock at which to put a pen.😂😂
We should get together on it!

Ive made a nice one with vinyl lattice, square(coated) wire and irrigation tubing. 6íx5í.
I put it in the creek a few days before I put bait in it and then remove it after tournaments. Itís a pain!
