Visiting Kill Devil Hills next week - suggestions
 

Haven't been to the outer banks in many, many years.

We have a place in Kill Devil Hills next week (Aug 24) and was hoping for any suggestions (or warnings of places to stay away from) for restaurants, fishing charters (probably inshore) or tourist attractions really worth seeing.

Things to do-aquarium, shrimping and crab trip out of Pirates Cove with Patrick Byrd, eat at Fishheads, Head boat at Pirates Cove or Oregon Inlet, fish offshore, jet ski, visit the wild horses in Currituck and eat your way thru the great restaurants down here. Enjoy

If you're looking for an inshore charter skip the headboat and call the fishing center to see if they have any open spots. Trout and pup fishing is still pretty decent in the sound

greentails has good seafood. If you end up in Wanchese O'Neals seafood market has good stuff and good food.

The lost colony stuff is good. The play put on by the Park Service is pretty decent too.

try riding over to alligator river national wildlife refuge and look at the bears. a few weeks ago we saw about 30 in one evening. they were in about every field.

Lost Colony is closed this year. Kill Devil Custard!!!

Black Pelican restaurant is really good.
