My son wants to catch a grouper for his Birthday. Where and who would you send us to to make it happen?

Just FYI the warmer the water gets the closer
to land the grouper come, shortening your transit to and from the spots.

MHC - Jacky DuFour, Merry Marlin

Southport - Wally Trahah, Fish Whistle

Two best in the state IMO

Gotta add Capt. John on the procrastinator. Always had a good time fishing with him.

We managed to sneak through the weather on Friday morning and your recommendations for Captain Todd, Shenanigans Sportfishing were spot on. Rough ride out,a lot better back in. He definitely knows his grouper.

Thanks to everyone who said kind words. I agree the captains recommended are worth their salt and can put you on the grouper. Can't go wrong with anyone mentioned above.

As for the trip, Kevin and Finn are hard core fish killers. Enjoyed their company immensely. They toughed our rain and stormy seas to catch a bunch of fish. We got about a dozen gags, with 10 and 14# keepers for the box. Mission accomplished!
