Default What a wet week in Beaufort, NC

A little over 7 inches of rain since late Sunday evening, pretty much evenly spread over the last 4 days. What a dreary damn week... unfortunately Fridays looking a little dreary as well. What are the THT weather forecasters predicting for the weekend? Sunday is looking like a potential window, but I'm guessing every damn boat east of I95 is going to try and get out on the water then.

Happy Memorial Day weekend folks, please remember those that paid the ultimate price!

I recall a few years ago when bogue described his Memorial Day routine of tossing his keys somewhere in the front yard and then sitting on the deck all weekend long with a drink (maybe a bourbon?).

Fortunately my boat is on a lift and if I could make it out the inlet, then I should be free in clear... but that's a big if.

Been down here since the 15th and staying through the 31. The original plan was to work on our place. I've barely accomplished anything. The yard has had standing water all week. Aggravating to say the least. It's not raining now and the yard drains pretty quick when the rain stops so maybe I can get something done this afternoon.
We did hit the stream on the 16th and had a decent haul so I guess that helped to soften the rainy side a little.

Default A lot nicer than it was supposed to be

Had to work, so no opportunities to fish today. For a Memorial Day Friday, Iím thinking most thought the weather was going to follow the forecast, so there are few boats out and about.

Family dinner on the water and awaiting the sunset.

Offshore was risky today although it turned out doable. I hope he found a last minute half day nearshore customer.

Seriously considered it. I've done an anti rain dance in the front yard so hopefully some relief for a while LOL

I got the luxury to take rest of weekend off. Friday trip cancelled. So I'm not dealing with a holiday weekend. Good luck to all that venture out. Stay safe!
