Default Black bass

If fishing out of Holden beach how far out would I need to go to get on black sea bass? Just trying to get an idea.

4 miles to catch and throw back. 20-50 miles for consistent keepers

I start at 90 feet and work deeper.

You can catch them at the near-shore AR's but you will most likely catch undersized ones. To consistently catch big ones you need to be father out and at least in 80 feet of water...

Rather than using the traditional chicken rigs with squid try using a Big Nic diamond jig, it works very well and seems to make the bigger ones hit.
