Default Oregon Inlet Boat grounding

Anyone know what the deal is with the boat on the north side of the inlet that ran aground. It looked about 100 yards from the beach this morning when I came across the bridge looked like she was leaning pretty good. It was blowing close to a gale this morning from the NW.

Coast guard rescued them late last week I believe. They were waiting for outside help, and then ended up calling CG for help. Beyond that, dont know

think you're talking of a separate incident. We were present for the earlier incident and the coast guard got them safely back over the bar. Checked on the OI coast gaurd Facebook page and don't see any new posts.

I was told a man from Texas bought this boat in VA and was on his way back to Texas, the weather got bad and he missed the inlet big time.
One of the local charter boats hooked a rope to the bow and had him spun around facing north but the wheel was buried so deep it wasn’t moving off the bar.
The next day it was completely on the beach and now the feds have taken over. So there she sits.

She is buried now. Someone must have opened a sea cock while removing the fuel.

This is a shame, I think it could have been saved in the beginning. Now there is a sign on the beach.
