Just drove over the Haw River down by Bynum. Talk about a raging torrent!!! Every river in central and eastern North Carolina is over its banks now.

A friend fished at Kerr on Sunday and said the mud/debris line was at Goat Island. I'll bet Kerr will be a gigantic mudhole from end to end by Friday. Don't think I'll head up there this weekend like I had planned.

P.S.: the last time I stopped at the Ace Hardware on Satterwhite Road they had NO SHAD. That was two and a half weeks ago. They did have some large bass minnows though.

Based on the lake levels, I think I am going to skip the trip up there today. Hate to drive an hour and find the ramps unuseable. May take the Arima over to Falls instead, high but the ramps at Upper Bartons were still useable yesterday.
