Default Coastal Wind and Hail Insurance Increase

We have a house at Ocean Isle Beach and our Wind and Hail insurance is through NCIUA. We just got our policy renewal and it has a 50% increase! Has anyone else experienced this and if so, can you recommend other options? We got a quote from Lloyds of London and it was a similar cost to what we were paying previously but I don't know how comfortable I feel that they would pay out in the event of a problem.

Thanks for your help

We have Frontline and they write their own wind and hail with the homeowners. So far so good with the rates.
Contact Wells Insurance in Wilmington.

Our experience with LLoyds was positive. Our 4 unit Condo was made whole.

Thank you for all of the responses. We went with the Lloyd's policy which will keep our rates at what they were previously before it went up 50%. It is good to hear that Lloyd's will stand behind you in the event the insurance is needed. Again, thank for your help.
