Love to know what general area they fished. I’m thinking Hatteras/Ocracoke

Nope.

Boundaries: Swansboro to Georgetown. You must be WEST of GPS line 76 55 00 and EAST of GPS line 79 10 00

Plus they had to check out of OIFC every morning.

88K and not as much as it could have been had they spent $3400 more.

These guys are all young commercial fisherman or in Shane’s case very good charter Capt. Minimal funds to play with and quite a gamble to spend as much as they do tournament fishing so I imagine they put all they could and ran with it. Very cool for these guys. They are down to earth good dudes who live and breath fishing. Very excited for them and for their future wicked tuna options if the cards line up again

I assume William is talking about the levels, (Kingfish Cup has I, II, III, IV), and Rasta Rocket wasnt in Level IV, though I'm not sure on the math since Level IV was 4k. Dean Spatholt in 3rd got 77k+, more than second place, because he was highest finishing Level IV entrant.

I could be wrong on this year, but in years past the total winnings, cash calcuttas and all were listed on the website as well as the big cardboard check, not the actual one paper one. So I still think they didn't get in any or many of the side pots and I kno for a fact they didn't enter the big fish side pot as that was taken by the second largest fish of the tournament. Doesn't really matter as it's still a killer pay day and an awesome accomplishment.

The big check are the total winnings (Kingfish Cup and Calcuttas).

Would love to have been a fly on the wall when they landed those fish! Bet they were going nuts!
Cool to watch them sitting on stage. You never know what the next fish bag will have. After they would weigh fish that didn't knock them out, you could tell they wanted to cheer but they just smiled. I thought that showed great character and respect for the loosers, though none of them were really loosers.
what a great tournament series and a great group of folks!
