What I received back,

As you know, this is always a contentious issue every year. I listen to our local recreational fishermen such as the McMullens and our local commercial shrimpers and fishermen. I am still studying this bill and looking for all the science I can find on the issue.

Best Regards,
Rep. Frank Iler

Yes Sir, it has a good chance.

Everyone should be picking up the phone and calling your representative right now when you finish reading this sentence.

Find that telephone number here- https://www.ncleg.gov/Members/MemberList/H

typical politician speak. How foolish you must be to think that harvesting wildlife before it is mature enough to reproduce at least once is a good idea. 4/0, thank you for contacting your (?) representative but you really should go back at him with a direct question of how could this not be a good idea. His response is a well practiced one that he gives to all. He knows that most will accept that and not bother him anymore. Push him to go further and show him you are paying attention.

Oh trust me I did.

I'm not posting that though.

That is why I posted that up. People can see what our elected officials real;y are.

I want to see his vote.

Listening to this made one thing very obvious. They have no clue about NC fisheries and what they were voting for or against. Scary.

This thing really has a chance to mess up the bait (finger and cob mullet) situation in NC..

Rep. Iler's latest reply.
I had to push for this because he went silent on me.

Mr. ,

There appears to be non-current science on the fish stocks, only statistics on the number of landings being down. Landings could be down over the last 20 years due to fewer commercial fisherman, which have declined 80% due to over regulation. This bill does nothing for the fish, and could be the nail in the coffin for our NC Seafood Industry.

Best Regards,

Representative Frank Iler

4/0 thank you for pushing him. His answer is nothing but arrogance intended to placate the uninformed. I took the opportunity to use the email address you provided. These guys need to be help accountable for their actions
