Be out of Holden Saturday on a 32 seacraft if everything stays. Anyone else going deep to chase marlin?

Shoot me a PM if you are interested. For some reason, my normal crew is hard to come by this weekend. I am planning on leaving bogue or Beaufort inlet at 6am Saturday morning

Well boys, I donít see any reports but, Iíll start.

We left friday at 11:30am when the wind started to die down and caught 5 slingers and a nice 20lb gaffer right on top of the big rock in 79 degrees. Nice short trip but, got some young boys on fish for their first trip offshore.

We caught one slinger and about 5 bushels of grass. Switched to bottom fishing and loaded up on trigger, beeliners, and a red porgy.

Ten bailers....scattered grass was terrible.

Iíve been running the flippy floppy chains as teasers with a trailing Viper Sniper...actually had what Iím pretty sure was a white (but couldíve been a small blue I guess, I donít claim to be an offshore expert) gnawing on the port side about 20 feet off the transom. We couldnít get him switched off....he darted over to the left short and then finally back to the shotgun without eating any of them, but man what a sight as he swam along with us for probably 30-45 seconds.

About 20 minutes later another billfish (another white I believe) knocked down the shotgun and then picked it up another time or two on the drop back, but never would eat it completely.

Again, Iím not out there billfishing and I donít have any experience with it, but between the big rock hype and the excitement with those two encounters....I was jacked!!!
