Default Fishing club in Swansboro or Bogue inlet area

Hello all,
I'm looking for a group of folks or club who like offshore fishing out of Bouge inlet NC. I end up missing a lot of good sea days because I don't like to risk going alone.
Thoughts?

I usually run out of bogue inlet. Weekend warrior at emerald isle. We go out fairly regularly.

You’re not alone. Keep us posted and will buddy up when possible. Need a Swansboro group.

Bogue is my normal inlet as well. Heading out tomorrow morning. Regarding a club, check out Onslow Bay Saltwater Fishing Club. We meet the third Tuesday of each month at the Hibachi Grill in Piney Green (Jacksonville). The club is a mix of inshore and offshore fisherman in the Swansboro/Jacksonville area. We always have a speaker each month of some kind. Local guide, NC Wildlife wardens, tackle manufacturers, etc. It's a good way to network and find fishing partners or buddy boats and we could use a few more off-shore guys. You picked a nice day, dragged wife out yesterday, but had to stay nearshore. Good luck. I'll post early next time looking for good offshore trip.

Thank you. Will try to attend next month. Would be great to have a few more fisherman to call on as well as buddy boat.

Yes sir. I am closer to salter path so it makes sense for me to put in on the island. During the fall we will drag down to morehead. Just not worth it in the summer with all the tourist.

Do you find it quicker to head out of bogue rather than Morehead? I keep my boat in Indian Beach and have always gone morehead.

Are any of you local guys heading out next week? The seas look surprisingly nice all week so I took the week off to go out and play.

If anybody knows where the fish are, send them our way

If you're in the area, you might want to check out the Onslow Bay Saltwater Fishing Club. Currently, there are 47 members. Club meets the third Tuesday of each month in Jacksonville at the Supreme Buffet Hibachi Grill. It's on NC 24, one mile east of the Camp Lejeune Main Gate (near Piney Green Road, on NC 24).
There are currently three openings for membership. Dues are a whopping $25 per year...and, that's for a family.
Most of us fish from Cape Lookout to the Topsail area. Many stay in the rivers and ICW. There are members who go out every week, weather permitting, near shore and offshore for kings, spanish, dolphin...any number like bottom fishing reefs and AR's.
If you're interested, you can email me for more info. raefordbrown@gmail.com.
