the one boat they have listed as fishing already took two lay days if i'm not mistaken. so I'd venture to guess they aren't really fishing just listed as fishing.

I know when I run offshore for a day of fishing I come back with a list of items that need tightening/fixing.
With their shear size and number of systems, what would one expect to be on their lists? Especially after seeing the conditions they deal with.

We have ONE BOAT fishing today. Good luck & tight lines to the crew aboard PAVED FOR!

One release and they are guaranteed some daily prize money.

Depends on the day. I have had plenty of days with nothing and most recently, we cracked a raw water intake reducer on the port motor, broke a bed skirt off, and one of the handles on the forward hatch came off. All is fixed but stuff does happen.

Last year, on the first trip, we had water that had frozen at the bottom knuckle or the starboard rigger and shear a bolt over the winter due to a clogged weep hole. We figured it out when we were about 3 miles out of the inlet and watched it come down over the cover boards. Had it fixed before lunch. We also split a tower leg the same way but caught it early and re welded it.

We were up in Pirates Cove and lost our radar when the boat next to us got struck by lighting.

Those are the rough ones though. Most trips are indeed uneventful.

Something tells me this wasn’t their plan. If they are actually fishing, which is doubtful, a billfish release would be worth $52,104. Little more enticing than weighing a dolphin for 2k.

The 34' Regulator is hooked up. It has a seakeeper on board I believe. And it is pulled off!

depends if he was entered in that level or not.

It isnt showing us this year which levels the boats are entered into. At least I can’t find it.
