You can ask her to dance but she probably does not want to slow dance.

Does this gaff make me look fat?

A lot of captains don’t call in a hook-up as soon as the fish bites, nor is it required (unless last few minutes of the day). They’d rather make sure what’s on the line and that they’re hooked good.

You've often got a minute or two before they start going nuts, then you're in for the long haul. I've actually hooked a second fish twice on baits in front of the boat while chasing one in rewind, then things get really interesting!
Double Damn .... Am I too old to say Mad Skillz

.......ya I thought so to but backing between baits and teasers Wow

Not that tough when you're up in a tower or bridge and have a good view of the baits. Many teams go places like Isla Mujeres in the winter to practice on the large amounts of fish there.

Sounded like a boat is out at the fishing grounds determining if they are going to fish or lay today. Sounds like it’s a little sporty and they ran out to see if it was fishable.

I assume they can email mail in their lay day form from offshore as long as they get it in before the deadline. Is that right? Seems like a lot of fuel to burn to make that call, but then again if you are paying to play in the big rock you can afford it.

Also can they fish on their lay day? If someone declares a lay day can they go prospect and not count their fish. I wouldn’t have the guts personally because the day I lay and fish would be the day I slay them.

Yes, you can submit lay day online, as long as it's done before 9 am. You can fun fish on lay days.

I saw Sweetums leave this morning and return before 8 or 830. Winds whipping out of the north, so the stream will be a mess. Still, hard to think how rough it has to be for it to be too rough for an 82’ boat.

Only 37 boats fishing today. 147 Laying. I expect it to be quieter on the radio today.

Sea strikers fish was short but fat. With that being said with who all was on that boat fishing they had a pretty good idea of what they had. Lot of fish caught between that crowd. Big ones at that. Good bite up the road for the ones who made the trek. Sea Striker had 7 bites yesterday morning.

Even harder to try to figure out the thinking of the guys in the 27 Grady and 30 Sea Hunt that decided it wasn't too rough for them...

Those boats already laid one day and tomorrows forecast looks dreadful. They didn't have a choice but to fish or risk losing a day.

If I want to go to Fort Macon, and watch the boats come in what would be the best hour to spend there today?
Or, should I be on the way

Friday, between 5 and 7 and Sat 4-6. Only 37 fished today and a bunch of them out of Hatteras. Most are planning on laying tomorrow too.

Me and some buddies are fishing the Current Sea a 33 Hydra-Sport. We released a blue on Tuesday. We had 1 in the spread Monday but would not eat. Had 2 bites Tuesday, we got the second one.
