Many were headed up there to try and catch the tail end of it but several were also headed to the southern boundary to see what's coming up next. Hasn't been a decent sat shot since the 4'th so the playing field is pretty level and looking for that one big bite!
Plus in my opinion the best way to catch a monster dolphin is to pull big marlin plugs anyway

With only 43 lbs separating 1st to 3rd I would think anyone who thinks they have a chance to get on the board for top 3 will do so.

Not to say someone with a borderline fish wont let him swim, but I would think if he is estimated to push 500 lbs he is coming home.

Interesting approach. I've never had a big dolphin eat a big plug before. Maybe I'm running the wrong ones.

15. WEIGH-IN - All blue marlin and gamefish eligible for prizes must be off-loaded and weighed at the official Tournament weigh station from the boat landing the fish unless authorized by the weigh master at the weigh station. The fish must be entered on the official entry form by the Tournament weigh master. Blue marlin take priority over gamefish at the scales. The same scales and weigh station will be used for all fish including those entered in the Governor’s Cup Series. Gamefish scales will close at 7:00 p.m. during the week and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The weigh station is located on the Morehead City Waterfront. All billfish weighed in shall be donated for research. The weigh master has the right to refuse any fish in his sole discretion. 16

Usually one of the Marine Biology programs like NC State, UNCW, etc. Would probably need alot of strings pulled to get one over to Carteret Community Culinary Program but not a long shot.

Corey and I used to work together and my family has been sponsoring/fishing R4R the last two years. Great time and a great cause.

6 in a day, 2400 points, that'd be a statement for sure! Gorgeous boat also, I love that green and sheer.

Just like little yap-yap dogs always finding the biggest dog at the dog park to yell at, no sense (or care) of how small they are in relation to the other, they're going after it regardless.
