Default Common sense ainít so...

...common. Saw a larger 25-28í WA pulling a tube under the Atlantic Beach causeway bridge at speed through the main span during this busy weekend with three small children on it. Also saw the same thing through the no wake zone. If you know of these people or are one, please take time to realize how dangerous this is. Too many intoxicated and under-qualified captains out on the water these days for it to be acceptable. I donít have kids but I canít even fathom how someone would be able to pull their love, pride and joy through a literal mosh pit of boats and choppy water like that. Hope all were safe this weekend

Incredibly stupid. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to live with yourself after watching a boat plow into your kids because you were pulling them in such a dangerous area. For that matter, it would be difficult if you were the boat captain that ran over three kids because the parents swung them out in front of you.

Stupidity knows no boundaries.

I see this every time I'm fishing down at Topsail between the inlet and the bend back to the water way, makes me cringe. Was down last weekend and it was packed as usual. Some kids fell of a tube being pulled by a skiff with an oncoming boat. The skiff comes off plane slowly and turns out away from the oncoming boat. The kids are left bobbing in the water and the skiff occupants eventually start waving their hands. Kids apparently didn't know to wave hands, they were just bobbing. Oncoming boat eventually sees them and veers sharply at the last minute. Too many people on the water going too fast through that narrow area. Half of them drunk, other half running their mouths, looking at the bikinis on the sandbars.

You missed the worst one. Yesterday about 5 as literally everyone, including the entire fleet fishing the Swansboro tournament, was coming in through the turning basin there was a red deckboat pulling a tube with a couple maybe 12 year olds on it. They did pull it in as they go to the no wake zone but then proceeded to plow through it at about twice the speed if everyone else.

Pretty sure I saw them. I was right in line behind the Bill Collector heading towards the waterfront around that time

Are they going to be putting up the no wake signs again in the turning basin? Went through there last weekend and noticed they still haven't been replaced since Florence.

My Son and I were coming back from Masonboro couple hours ago and saw a kid who had fallen off a wakeboard in the middle of the ICW. Could barely seen him, boats flying past, just stupid. Like skateboarding on I-40.
