Let me know how long the trip takes and if there is anything to look out for because I've been wanting to make that run for a while!

It is a good trip and no real hazards to speak of. A couple places it can get bumpy when crossing an inlet but easy to navigate. We used to do it every year until T-ball started YEARS ago. Now that JB is driving, we hope to start it back up again. I''ll let you know if I see any issues but don't expect any.

The last time we did it we had @ 8 boats and we stopped a few times along the way. Georgetown has a place on the water with the best crab dip I have ever had. I took the rod holder grill and cooked burgers and then some Mahi.. just made a day of the trip.

this time we will make better time with fewer boats and less stops. I expect we will be there in 5-6 hours including the hour stop in Georgetown for lunch.

Just a fun trip really!

I live inIsle of Palms. It will take you a good couple of hours but it is a fantastic run down the ditch. It will be busy down here this weekend.

I want to make that trip bad! Think it would be great fun for a bunch of boats to go down together. I envision a stop in Georgetown than stop at Morgan creek grill for the best fried cauliflower you’ll ever eat. Stay at either Shem creek inn or Charleston Harbor at patriots point. Can you tell I’ve thought about this. Have a fun and safe trip Capt.

We just made a similar trip at the end of April. Topsail to Hilton Head with stops in MB and Charleston. Next trip will either be further south or head north to who knows where.
Regardless, have a great time!
