Default Good Mercury servicing dealer/mechanic near MHC?

I still don't know what we hit. Didn't run aground, as the skeg is fine. It seems I ran over *something* which a) dinged the prop, and b) the prop smashed into (through) the cavitation plate, taking off a chunk and bending the anode. Insurance inspector is coming in the morning, and I imagine I'll be needing a new Mercury Lower Unit and maybe a prop. No SEI junk. Who's good around here?

Tried to upload pics, but THT site says I can't upload URLs (which I'm not doing -- just JPGs) until I've got ten posts under my belt.

Try Norm Warner at Universal Marine. Honest work, reasonable timeline and honest pricing. 252-723-1577 tell him Jeffreys sent you.

I did get a quote from Norm at Universal. They're practically across the street from me. Nice folks. Thanks!

I haven’t had great dealings with coral bay. For my repower this offseason I wound up taking mine down to Snead’s ferry at open water marine. Probably a haul for you, but I’ll be taking mine back there from now on.

If you decide to trade with Norm, I'm confident that you will be entirely pleased. I've been boating in the MHC area for over 30 years and had work done by a number of different shops. Since I found Norm, he has done all my work and will continue to do so unless he has a major change in behavior.

I apologize, I thought you were referring to warranty work hence why I mentioned the two Mercury service centers in the area. Norm does great work and is priced fair.

I've got great service on my 2005 2 stroke 40hp Merc going on 9 years now from Portside Marina. Including the one time when it got float tested.
